On behalf of the Colorado State Library and the Colorado Department of Education, congratulations to Katie Austin, Hutchinson's Digital Teacher Librarian, on your achievement of earning the Environment credential through the Highly Effective Schools Through Libraries program.

Principal DeAnn Hoffman writes, “We have had Katie as our DTL for two years (last year she was half-time and this year full-time). We are so lucky to have her. The library environment has changed for the better in every possible way. Students and staff feel welcomed and eager to learn in the space she has designed through furniture and materials. Our parent community also feels welcomed and collaborates in that space. It is the hub of our school and we are grateful for the work Katie has done.”
